10月31日世界勤俭日（World Thrift Day）最早是在1924年举办的第一届国际储蓄银行大会上由意大利教授Filippo Ravizza提出并最终于2006年由联合国确立的。该节日的确立旨在号召人们勤俭节约以共同应对日益严重的资源危机，进而促进社会的健康可持续发展。

On October 31st, World Thrift Day was first proposed by Italian professor Filippo Ravizza at the first International Savings Bank Conference held in 1924 and finally established by the United Nations in 2006.
